We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Installation Manager to lead our installation team and ensure the successful completion of solar projects.
The Solar Installation Manager is responsible for overseeing all of Viridis Energy’s team members who are operating out of the Woburn, MA location. These teams will be installing residential and commercial solar systems. This role is responsible for insuring they do safe, high-quality work efficiently. As a key member of the Operations Management Team, you will work with other departments to continuously improve processes and overall customer experience. You will lead by example and demonstrate strong commitment to excellence, professionalism, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of solar installation projects, including resource allocation, scheduling, and quality control.
- Manage a team of high-quality field crews including Electricians, Electrical Apprentices, and Installers operating out of our Woburn, MA location.
- Train, mentor, and supervise the solar installation team, ensuring adherence to safety regulations, industry best practices, and company policies and procedures.
- Monitor and track project progress, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines, budgets, and performance targets.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project status and ensure quality control and safety compliance.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures (e.g. Viridis Energy, NEC and OSHA).
- Resolve any installation issues or discrepancies, working closely with team members and other departments to find effective solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements, regulations, and best practices, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and overall performance.
- Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity.
- Manage the on-site facilities as necessary.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school, vocational training, or an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of solar system design, installation, and maintenance principles.
- Knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Proficient in using project management software and tools.
- Understanding of OSHA standards and strong safety track record.
- Residential solar experience required; Commercial solar experience preferred.
- Massachusetts electrical license and/or unrestricted CSL are a plus.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as travel to various job sites is required.
