Solar Journeyman Electrician

Job: Full-Time
Location: Woburn, MA
*Pay: $55.00 Hourly

The Electrician is an integral member of the installation team, who is responsible for installing commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. You will provide immediate in-field oversight to crews on safety, quality control, and correct installation methods to ensure an efficient installation.

Responsibilities:

  • Install of electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of residential and commercial solar PV systems.
  • Ensure electrical work performed is pristine workmanship and compliant with the current National Electrical Code as well as other relevant local codes.
  • Troubleshoot system problems and resolving electrical issues.
  • Work with Operations Manager to fulfill any necessary system upgrades/repairs to support our solar equipment.
  • Work with local inspectors to meet and satisfy local requirements and expectations.
  • Train, mentor and develop apprentices.
  • Follow proper safety procedures while working from heights and on electrical equipment
  • Work independently with minimum supervision in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Receive ongoing training.
  • Not required to have any prior solar experience.

Requirements:

  • Hold current MA Journeyman Electrician license.
  • Complete understanding of the NEC code book or plan to attend classes with the intention of gaining these skills.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively in a team environment.

*Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay
  • Signing bonus

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Electrical Experience: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Journeyman Electrician license (Required)
